O2′s TU Go app, free to download for its contract customers, allows users to call, text and access voicemail via the internet on any compatible device, using their existing telephone number

O2 has today launched its TU Go VoIP application, which will allow users to make and receive calls, texts and voicemail over the internet using their existing telephone number.

The service, available on all Apple and Android devices, is free to download for O2 contract customers, with the calls and texts taken from their existing bundle.

Customers using TU Go will be able to make and receive calls and texts from anyone on any network, even if the recipient doesn’t have the app installed. O2 will deliver calls, texts and voicemail as normal so contacts won’t notice anything different.
